Whitney ISD board denies Level III parent grievance after closed session

The Whitney Independent School District Board of Trustees returned from closed session and voted 7–0 to deny a Level III parent grievance. Trustee Ray Watson moved to deny the grievance; the motion was seconded by Trustee Raygenna Heath and carried with votes recorded for Trustees Nicole Corson, Raygenna Heath, Amy Hoffman, Charles Buzan, Ray Watson, Brent Marbut and AJ Marino.
The denial was taken after discussion in closed session under Texas Government Code Chapter 551. Board members provided no additional public comment beyond stating the motion and the roll-call outcome when the board resumed open session at 9:08 PM.
