The Altamonte Springs City Commission voted unanimously on May 5 to adopt Resolution 1481, formalizing an interlocal agreement with Seminole County that documents the distribution of Local Option Fuel Tax proceeds.
City Manager Frank Martz told the Commission the measure is “ministerial in nature” and clarified a recent news report, saying “no inquiry had been made to the City regarding such action.” Mayor Bates opened and closed the public hearing after no members of the public appeared.
The motion to adopt Resolution 1481 was made by Commissioner Reece and seconded by Commissioner Brunscheen; the motion carried 4-0 in a roll call vote of those present. The agreement was described in the meeting as retroactive to the County’s earlier approval and requested by the Department of Revenue.
