The Rolling Meadows City Council on Jan. 27 voted 7–0 to adopt Ordinance No. 26-03, which amends City Code Section 6-37(a)(5) to reduce and increase the maximum number of Class B-1 liquor licenses so that Good News Gas & Food Inc. / RMBP Food Mart Inc. at 2059 Hicks Road may hold the license.
Mayor Sanoica read the ordinance into the record and Alderperson Boucher moved adoption; Alderperson O’Brien seconded. The roll-call vote recorded seven ayes and no nays. The ordinance was adopted on second reading at the meeting.
The action changes the distribution of locally issued Class B-1 licenses and was taken as a discrete ordinance on the council's agenda. The minutes do not record debate or amendments to the ordinance; the council proceeded directly to the vote.
