Greenville introduces Benjamin Petty as new Director of Finance and Administrative Services

Greenville formally introduced Benjamin 'Ben' Petty as its new Director of Finance and Administrative Services. Summer (S8) told council Petty began on Oct. 20 and brings about 20 years of leadership experience, including roles as CFO for Citizen Schools and municipal experience in Plano and Wylie.
Petty (S9) thanked the council and said he was glad to meet members at the Texas Municipal League event. "It is tough following Major, who is a very cute pup," Petty said with a nod to the previous agenda item; he said he looks forward to the budget process and working with staff on the upcoming audit and budget cycle.
Council welcomed Petty and noted the upcoming workload with the audit and the fiscal year '26 budget process.
