Malcolm (S13), reporting on the Municipal Auditorium upgrade project (MICA), told council the major work is complete but three small items remain: a button station, a ceiling cable reel to lower trusses, and a replacement motor for the grand drape. He said parts have been ordered and DRI will finish the remaining work when the parts arrive; the council authorized final payment unanimously.
"We're waiting on some parts to come in... there's a button station that went out... and then they just ordered the motor," Malcolm said, explaining the remaining scope is limited to a few non‑structural items. Council had previously seen the auditorium at its grand opening and staff said the outstanding items were primarily programming and equipment integration.
