The council approved a resolution to cast Greenville's votes for two nominees to the Hunt County Appraisal District board of directors. Staff said the city has 202 votes to cast and council divided them equally between Paul Painter and Jim Bob Grove.
Summer (S8) explained the earlier nominee terms and legislative changes that affected term timing. "You guys have, I believe, 202 votes to cast," Summer said; a motion to split the votes 101 to each candidate was made and the council approved the resolution unanimously.
Council did not discuss alternate nominees during the session and staff indicated these were the only current nominees on the ballot.
