During the citizens-to-be-heard portion, Luisa Bridal of 5015 Cherry Pansy Boulevard presented paper copies she said show two official incident reports carrying the same case number but different preprinted demographics. "If you examine those copies of the 2 dissimilar official incident reports, you will find that they have the same identical case numbers, but the preprinted demographics... have been altered," Bridal told the council and asked that someone with authority bring clarity to the issue.
Bridal said she attempted to file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's open records division and was told there was no record for the incident numbers she provided; she said staff at the district attorney's office could not assist and referred her back to the police department. Council members asked clarifying questions and the mayor said the city attorney's office will contact Bridal within several days to review her materials and follow up. The council made no immediate policy decision during the public-comment period.
The council response was limited to taking the comment under advisement and arranging follow-up from the city attorney rather than a public investigation or vote at that time.
