Shade Tree Commission discusses CFMP compliance, seeks grant help and funds CORE training

Minutes state the commission is out of compliance until the five-year plan is finished and accepted by the state, and that certain liability coverages will not be in place until the plan is completed.
Commissioner K. Halpin said she will apply for the Green Communities grant and will reach out to Paul Cowie, who wrote the commission's previous plan, to see if he can help draft the new five-year plan. Chair D. Butler moved that CORE training costs be paid from the Shade Tree Commission budget; K. Halpin seconded and the motion carried (Ayes: 3, Nays: 0).
