The City of Palos Heights Municipal Grounds and Property Committee voted Jan. 27 to approve a three-year maintenance contract with CNC Lawn Care to service the Art Park, raised planters and plant beds from April through November. Alderman Brennan moved the motion; Alderman Clifford seconded, and the voice vote passed unanimously.
Public Works Director Joe Smith presented the item, saying, "This is the same price we paid last year. CNC Lawn Care will hold that price for three years." City Administrator Adam Jasinski explained the contract covers pulling weeds, adding fresh mulch and clean-up of trash in the business area and that outsourcing saves staff resources. The approved cap is $2,930.00 per month, or $23,440 per year, for the months specified.
