Palos Heights committee reviews permit and code-enforcement figures for Dec. 2025–Jan. 2026

The report also shows six permits issued during Jan. 1–6, 2026; fees collected of $16,730 for Dec. 3–Jan. 6 and $500 for Jan. 1–6; reinspection fees of $150 for Dec. 3–Jan. 6 and none so far in 2026; three code violations in the larger Dec. 3–Jan. 6 window; and no building fines or code compliance fees collected in that period.
The committee did not take formal action on these figures at the meeting. Alderman Clifford inquired about potentially increasing fines and code-enforcement fees; Building Commissioner Frank Giordano said he would look into that and report back.
