She reported approximately 276 students in June and 293 in July for the grade 1'5 summer sessions, with 21 teachers, 10 educational assistants and 17 high'school volunteers supporting the program. Camp Kindergarten ran for two weeks with 109 students, seven teachers, 10 educational assistants and 12 high'school volunteers. The SPA (speed, power and acceleration) program enrolled 297 students with six instructors; the administrator said that figure is about 30 fewer than last year but within the district's typical range of roughly 300. Administrators and building staff who served as acting summer'school principals received particular recognition for on'site leadership.
