Selectboard gives OK to paving request; hydrant maintenance flagged

Brent Lanpher called asking whether his crew could pave the North Hyde Park / Eden Fire Department driveway before July. The Selectboard agreed to allow the paving work to proceed using the town's reserved fund for that purpose.
Ricky Morin reported inspection findings for several fire hydrants: the hydrant on Boy Scout Camp Road is repeatedly covered with silt and may need relocation to the opposite side of the road; a Blakeville hydrant lacks a screen that staff say will require excavation to reinstall. The board did not take formal votes on hydrant relocation during the meeting but recorded the maintenance concerns and the need for further work.
