Speaker 14 told council that the ordinance adopts the Texas Food Establishment Rules of 2021 and the USDA Food Code of 2017 and adjusts permit fees accordingly. "The very last one has a separate new fee for grocery stores, which are the highest risk, group of $773 a year," the city attorney said; council approved the ordinance unanimously.
