The Van Alstyne ISD Board adopted resolutions Nov. 17 to cast the district's eligible votes for candidates to local appraisal district boards. Trustee Mark Freeman moved to nominate Charlie Williams for the Grayson Central Appraisal District with the district's 118 eligible votes; Trustee Matt Morris seconded and the motion passed 7–0.
For Collin County, Trustee David Kerr moved to nominate Baine Brooks and the board authorized the district's single eligible vote; the motion was seconded by Trustee Debbie Nance and passed 7–0. The nominations were recorded in the meeting minutes as formal board actions.
