Trustees nominate Charlie Williams (Grayson) and Baine Brooks (Collin) to appraisal-district boards
Summary
The board voted 7–0 to cast Van Alstyne ISD's 118 votes for Charlie Williams to the Grayson Central Appraisal District board and its single Collin County vote for Baine Brooks to the Collin Central Appraisal District board.
The Van Alstyne ISD Board adopted resolutions Nov. 17 to cast the district's eligible votes for candidates to local appraisal district boards. Trustee Mark Freeman moved to nominate Charlie Williams for the Grayson Central Appraisal District with the district's 118 eligible votes; Trustee Matt Morris seconded and the motion passed 7–0.
For Collin County, Trustee David Kerr moved to nominate Baine Brooks and the board authorized the district's single eligible vote; the motion was seconded by Trustee Debbie Nance and passed 7–0. The nominations were recorded in the meeting minutes as formal board actions.
