At the Nov. 17 meeting, district staff presented the 2024–25 annual evaluation of the bilingual education and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. Dr. Jamie Martinez reported the ESL program currently serves 134 students across the district, encompassing 25 different languages; 17 students exited the program this year after meeting state requirements.
Martinez told trustees that teachers receive ESL professional development and that the district meets state requirements for special populations; the presentation was informational and no board action was required.
