The Van Alstyne ISD Board of Trustees formally canvassed and approved the Nov. 4, 2025 bond election results at its Nov. 17 meeting. The district reported a total of 2,709 votes: 1,077 in favor and 1,621 opposed.
Trustee Mark Freeman moved to approve the election returns; Trustee Beau Williams seconded the motion, and the board voted 7–0 to accept the canvass. During public comment, a resident urged the district to consider breaking up future bond packages to improve voter approval odds, but the board took no further action on bond packaging during the meeting.
