Oakdale readies National Night Out; police urge neighborhood turnout

Mayor Pro Tem Gilbert announced that National Night Out will be held tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dorado Park and encouraged residents to attend neighborhood gatherings. "Tomorrow is national night out. It is from 6PM to 8PM, and it is at Dorado Park," Gilbert said as part of council announcements.
The police chief encouraged as many Oakdale residents as possible to join neighborhood parties, said the department will staff eight locations and will visit parties alongside fire and EMS personnel. The chief said residents can expect to see public-safety personnel at events and noted the department will kick off at the Bridal event site before moving to neighborhood locations.
