The City Council opened the public hearing on a proposed water-conservation ordinance but, with no members of the public seeking to speak, closed the hearing and then took a motion to continue consideration at the Aug. 17 council meeting. Council member (speaker 10) moved to continue the item to 08/17/2026; the motion was seconded and the roll-call vote was 4-0 in favor of continuation.
Staff had said a presentation would precede public comment; the council chose to leave the public hearing open for additional public input and further staff presentation at the next meeting rather than take final action tonight.
