Resident says Oakdale Bridal drew nearly 2,000, created a welcoming moment for queer residents

Resident Greg Pagani told the council Oakdale’s first Bridal event was a ‘‘massive success’’ and thanked the Bianchi Center, city staff, Oakdale Police Department and volunteers for supporting the event. "We had nearly 2,000 attendees peruse local craft vendors, listen to local artists, line dance, enjoy a free meal," Pagani said, noting the event included a drag show and large community turnout without any serious incident.
Pagani said the event made a meaningful impact on queer residents who told him it was the first time they felt they could connect with neighbors and imagine a future in Oakdale. He thanked organizers and expressed optimism about a second event and continued community support.
