The Board of Education convened an executive session at 6:05 PM to discuss the employment of a new Superintendent of Schools under the Oklahoma Open Meeting Law citation 25 O.S. —7307(B)(1). The motion to enter executive session was made by Board member Turner Bass and seconded by Jeanne Swinney; the minutes record the motion as carried by the members present.
The minutes record the board returned from executive session at 7:42 PM. The Board President stated that "No votes were taken, and no other matters were discussed in Executive Session." The minutes list those in attendance during executive session as Turner Bass, Bobby Canty, Clif Harden, Jeanne Swinney, Mandy Hillhouse and OSSBA representative Dr. Stephanie Hyder. The minutes do not record any employment action, vote, appointment or announcement beyond the statement that no votes occurred.
Because executive sessions are closed, the minutes correctly limit disclosure to the statutorily required public statement about what occurred (or did not occur) in the session. The clerk's certification and signature lines follow in the record.
