Board approves multiple campus plans, grants agreements and contracts, including superintendent contract
Summary
The board approved Campus Improvement Plans and Targeted Improvement Plans for multiple campuses, renewed the audit contract, approved an MOU with Sul Ross Talent Search and confirmed administrator and superintendent contracts in open session.
At the March 25 meeting the Presidio ISD Board approved a package of routine but consequential items: Campus Improvement Plans for Presidio High School, Lucy Rede Franco Middle School and Presidio Elementary School; Targeted Improvement Plans for Presidio High and Presidio Elementary; renewal of the audit contract with Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss L.L.P.; and an MOU to continue the Sul Ross Talent Search program. Each of those motions passed by unanimous votes.
Following a closed session discussion of personnel matters, the board returned to open session and approved administrator contracts and the superintendent’s contract. Trustee Marco Lujan moved to approve administrator contracts and Trustee Jaime Sanchez moved to approve the superintendent contract; both motions were seconded and passed 7–0. The minutes record that no votes were taken during closed session and that approvals were completed in open session.
