Presidio ISD board approves $201,680 contract with Region 18 ESC for 2026–27 services

The Presidio ISD board unanimously approved a services contract with Region 18 Education Service Center for the 2026–27 school year at its June 24 meeting.

The total cost reported during discussion was $201,680.40; district staff said the majority of the expense will be funded by Title funds, technology and Ascender charges will be drawn from the district’s technology budget, and much of the district’s internet costs are supported by E‑Rate. Maria Montoya moved approval and Iris Galindo seconded; the motion carried 4–0 (Brenda Witty, Maria Montoya, Iris Galindo, Jaime Sanchez voted Aye).
Superintendent Carmen Rubner and staff indicated the contract is meant to centralize a set of recurring services for the coming year. No amendments to the contract amount were recorded at the meeting.
