Presidio ISD approves 2026–27 hybrid calendar; PK–2 day lengthened

The Presidio ISD Board unanimously approved the 2026–27 school calendar on March 25 following a recommendation from the District Wide Educational Improvement Council. Trustee Jeremy Velasquez moved to approve the calendar and Trustee Iris Galindo seconded; the motion passed 7–0.
The approved hybrid calendar contains 168 student days and 187 staff days. Under the plan, pre‑K through second‑grade students will have their school day extended by 15 minutes (new end time 3:20 PM). The calendar sets graduation for May 28, 2027 and will guide instructional planning and payroll for the coming year.
