The Darlington Community School District Policy Committee met July 15, 2026, called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Board President Bob Hermanson, and completed its agenda in approximately 15 minutes. The committee approved the minutes of the Jan. 29, 2025 Policy Committee meeting and adopted the agenda as presented.
By motion of committee member Zuberbuhler, seconded by Bryson, the committee carried votes to recommend to the full board approval of the following items: a bus recordings policy; a drones-over-school-property policy; a package of handbook-alignment policies covering Liquidated Damages, Teacher Pay Cycle Requirements and Building Use Policy; and an anti-grooming policy. The committee then moved and carried a motion to adjourn at 4:15 p.m. The minutes list the motions and record "motion carried" for each but do not provide roll-call tallies or the full draft policy language; those materials should be consulted at the full board level for details.
