Staff said one alternative under study is relocating the easement about 2,000 square feet and coordinating staking with private-property owners before any change.
Resident Glenn Edwards told the council he has lived at 101 Broken Bow for 24 years and described repeated drainage and erosion problems that have worsened over time. Edwards said staff visited the site, engaged neighbors and appeared receptive to adjustments; he asked for a solution that would not make the problem worse and suggested the improvement be considered in the next fiscal budget.
