The Greenville City Council approved an agreement authorizing MH Civil to install a temporary dam at Reservoir 5 to enable completion of outlet work tied to Lake Tawakoni. City staff said the temporary dam is necessary because the reservoir cannot be lowered far enough to perform the outlet installation without risking downstream customers.
"This temporary dam is gonna allow us to get this work done so we can finally get be done with the, raw waterline," Robert told the council and said the quote from MH Civil is $122,700 to be charged to account PW2400. He said the money needed for the work is already allocated and that the dam will allow the project to proceed to completion.
