At the Nov. 17 meeting the Wimberley ISD Board of Trustees formally declared the results of the Nov. 4 trustee election and authorized issuing Certificates of Election to the District 4 and District 5 trustees.
Trustee Andrea Justus moved, and Lindsey Deringer seconded, motions to approve the election declaration and to issue certificates; both motions passed by voice vote (Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1). The board then took up officer nominations during the reorganization agenda item: "I move that we nominated Dr. Rob Campbell for Board President," said a trustee, and the nomination (moved Andrea Justus, seconded Will Conley) passed. Motions to nominate Ken Strange for Vice President and Chad Canine for Secretary were similarly moved and approved; each motion passed Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
The board's actions formalize officer assignments for the coming term and authorize staff to issue required election certificates.
