The Wimberley Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district's Annual Financial and Compliance Report for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2025, during its Dec. 15 meeting.
"The District received an unmodified audit opinion, and no material weaknesses or instances of noncompliance were identified," presenter April Charlebois of Singleton, Clark & Company P.C. told the Board as she reviewed the report. The motion to approve the audit was made by Trustee Will Conley, seconded by Trustee Ken Strange, and passed Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
The audit opinion indicates the auditors did not identify findings that would qualify as material weaknesses or reportable noncompliance for the year under review. Board trustees acknowledged the report and recorded no follow-up motions tied to audit deficiencies.
The approval aligns with other district financial oversight presented that night, including the First Quarter investments summary and the district's high rating on the FIRST accountability report, reinforcing the administration's message of sound financial management.
