Wimberley ISD reports gains in bilingual and ESL program, serves 235 emergent bilingual students

She outlined parent engagement efforts, summer school opportunities, ongoing recruitment and professional development initiatives, and the district goal of reaching 100% ESL‑certified teachers.
Board members discussed measures to support continued progress in English proficiency, including staff certification timelines and outreach to parents. The update was informational; no board action was required.
