Washington Borough Shade Tree Commission approves membership renewal and previous minutes

The Washington Borough Shade Tree Commission met on Feb. 17, 2026, and called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Open Public Meetings Act was read into the record and attendance was recorded for D. Butler, G. Pohorely and K. Halpin.
A motion to approve the Jan. 22, 2026 minutes was made by G. Pohorely and seconded by K. Halpin; the minutes were recorded as carried with Ayes: 2, Nays: 0, Abstain: 1 (Pohorely). Later in the meeting, D. Butler moved, seconded by G. Pohorely, to renew the commission's 2026 membership in the New Jersey Shade Tree Federation. The membership renewal passed unanimously, Ayes: 3, Nays: 0.
The meeting included reports on recent communications and planning items, and it adjourned at 7:27 p.m. A final adjournment motion was made by G. Pohorely, seconded by K. Halpin, and approved Ayes: 3, Nays: 0. Meeting minutes were signed/recorded by Constance Dean, Shade Tree Clerk.
