The Union City Board of Education convened July 14 in the school library with Laura Reed presiding in the absence of the president and vice president. Board members voted to renew the district's CCOSA membership and approved a $30,000 renewal bid from Jani King for custodial services for 2025-26.
The meeting included a package of personnel and policy actions: the board approved a one-time $750 stipend for returning certified and support staff to be paid in August 2025, rehired support employees listed on Exhibit E, and updated several policies, including extending the teacher salary schedule. The board also accepted the resignation of Jennifer Bornemann and declared seat #3 vacant. Several routine finance items were approved as part of the consent agenda, including encumbrances and warrants across General and Building funds.
