Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. (CFW) presented to the Cutten Elementary School District Board of Trustees on Proposition 2 School Facility Program funding, describing a statewide SFP pool of about $8.5 billion and eligibility pathways for districts. CFW said Cutten’s case could qualify for approximately $2.9 million for capital improvements or could seek reimbursement of up to 60% for the first two projects completed through bond funds.
CFW also described a financial-hardship calculation that, if the district meets the state’s criteria and lacks local capacity to complete projects, could lead to higher state funding (including the possibility of 100% funding). Board members heard the high-level eligibility criteria and were informed that a five-year facility plan and project prioritization are part of application requirements.
