District staff reported several program updates during the district report. The Author Festival was described as successful and a visiting 'Tree Spirits' author presented at Ridgewood; Annette will contact the author for future festivals. An art teacher helped students with PTA Reflections projects and raffle tickets are due Dec. 2.
GATE testing was complete and the program is now called 'Quest'; the Quest teacher pulls students twice a month and will take them to a GATE academy at Cal Poly annually. Jen Code is leading History Day with after-school help and the district plans to alternate History Day and the Science Fair each year so interested families can participate. The district also reported music and athletics updates, including a youth ensemble hosted by Katri and a successful girls basketball season.
