Trustee Tom Carpenter told trustees the Finance Committee discussed replacing the village's leaf-collection equipment and that “the cheapest was $261,000.” He said the committee considered financing options and possible grant funds, and Village Administrator Matt Trout will prepare ordinance language to capture any financing terms for a future board vote.
No formal motion to purchase the vehicle was made at the April 7 meeting; trustees discussed funding avenues and asked staff to return with a recommended ordinance and financing proposal before any procurement decision.
