Raymondville ISD staff report 2.19% rise in taxable values and estimate $0.98–$1.05 tax-rate range

Raymondville Independent School District staff told trustees that the Willacy County Appraisal District provided certified preliminary property values used for budget planning and tax-rate calculation. According to the district materials presented at the June 9, 2025 workshop, "Preliminary Taxable Values increased in comparison to prior year Certified Property Tax Values from $366,715,855 to $374,738,349, an increase of $8,022,494 or 2.19%."
Staff also presented an estimated tax-rate planning range, saying, "The estimated tax rate is estimated to be in the range of $0.98-$1.05 per $100 of property valuation." The board was told a public meeting will be held in September and that the tax rate must be adopted by Sept. 30. No final rate was adopted at the workshop.
