Quinlan ISD board reelects Kenny Stone as president; officer votes include multiple abstentions

Kenny Stone was nominated and elected president of the Quinlan ISD Board of Trustees at the May 18 meeting, with the motion carrying 6-1; Stone abstained from the vote. New board members Eric Kleiber and Colton Mosley also recited the Oath of Office during the meeting.
The board completed officer elections for the coming year after a brief nomination sequence. A nomination of Eric Kleiber for vice president received no second; Stone then nominated Todd Darter, and that motion carried 6-1 with Darter abstaining. Billie Miller was elected secretary in a 6-1 vote, with Miller abstaining. The meeting record shows nominees abstained from votes on the offices to which they were elected.
