Presidio ISD creates Special Programs/Professional Development director role and approves related contracts and teacher contracts

The Presidio ISD Board approved creation of a new administrative position titled Director Special Programs/Professional Development Coordinator to coordinate school improvement and special programs responsibilities. Brenda Witty moved to create the position and the motion carried 4–0.
Following that action, the board approved the contract-template language for the administrator position (not hiring a specific person) and approved certified and non-certified teacher contracts for 2026–27, with board members noting one retiree (Lucia Sosa). These motions likewise passed unanimously. No votes or personnel decisions were taken during the closed session discussion on evaluations and contracts.
