Selectboard readies Town Meeting logistics, reviews fund-balance policy and office addition bids

Eden administrators will set up for Town Meeting the week of Feb. 24; the board also agreed to review a proposed Fund Balance policy and to revise bid documents for an office addition after clarifying storage needs in the vault.
Town staff told the Selectboard they will begin Town Meeting setup Monday afternoon and finish Tuesday morning, arriving around 7:30–8:00 a.m. The minutes note the new Town Report looks different this year and may prompt questions from residents.
Committee member Melissa Whitcomb reviewed a model Fund Balance policy and the Selectboard agreed to review the paperwork and discuss it at a later date. The board also directed work on bid documents for an office addition: Melissa noted some vault items only need locked storage rather than costly archival treatment, which will lower costs; Selectboard Chair Tim Bullard will redo the BID information.
