Superintendent Carmen Rubner presented the quarterly investment report on behalf of absent investment officer Raquel Baeza and certified it as compliant with board policy and the Public Funds Investment Act. The report listed the General Fund balance at $9,748,532.42 (interest $75,213.87), a General Fund Water balance of $6,622,773.48 (interest $59,665.13), and a Debt Service Fund balance of $1,467,183.95 (interest $13,416.91). The board voted 4–0 to approve the report.
In the same portion of the agenda the board approved a set of budget amendments moving funds for program salaries, purchasing an activity bus, and adjusting salaries and insurance for support personnel tied to an incentive allocation. Board members also discussed a district-wide projected revenue reduction of approximately $3.4 million from the Presidio County Appraisal District and requested detailed insurance-category numbers to better evaluate pay and insurance decisions.
