Derrick Retz, the district Buildings, Grounds, and Maintenance Director, briefed the Boyceville school board on planned and proposed maintenance and capital projects including bids for ADA-compliant athletic field bleachers, air sensor controls, athletic field irrigation, a utility vehicle purchase, and asphalt maintenance. Retz said some repairs can be completed by district staff, reducing contractor costs.
Board members voiced concern about how long a new irrigation system would be necessary and asked staff to provide more detail. Retz will present full proposals and timeline details at the May work session for board consideration; no contract awards or purchases were approved at the April 15 meeting.
