Maka (S12) said the event will include a 5:30 ribbon-cutting with the Chamber of Commerce, vendor demonstrations (Digico, L Acoustics, ETC) explaining system choices, a short program with city remarks and project partners, and a performance by a Dallas party band called La Freak expected to play for about an hour. "It's a free event," Maka said, and staff posted RSVP tickets online to manage attendance.
Council members thanked staff and said they look forward to the public presentation. The staff presentation emphasized that the auditorium will be used both for corporate-style presentations and for concerts and community entertainment.
