The board unanimously approved new mission, vision and belief statements and a set of strategic priorities developed after multiple board, leadership and community meetings.
"The mission of Waco ISD is to cultivate wisdom, inspire growth, and pursue excellence in every student," Dr. Spicer told trustees as he presented the final language and a five‑year strategic framework the district will use to prioritize work and measure progress.
Dr. Spicer said the process included SWOT analyses, engagement with leadership and community feedback and that the district will publicly post the statements and report monthly on progress. Trustees moved and seconded the motion and approved the mission and priorities without dissent.
