Board hears Measure K bond update; resolution due in January

The Cutten Ridgewood School District Board of Trustees received an update Dec. 9 on plans for Measure K, the facilities bond voters approved earlier this year. District staff told trustees that Issom will prepare a resolution for the board’s January meeting to move the bond program into its next planning phase and that a citizens’ bond committee will be needed to advise priorities.
Board materials and the superintendent’s report said some planning fees have already been paid and described early priorities including safe entry upgrades and adding classrooms. Trustees were told the district is reviewing expectations and priorities for bond spending; no final allocations or contracts were approved at the meeting.
The report also flagged operational steps: coordination with PG&E and finishing the BESC project, and purchasing blinds for classrooms with bond funds. The board did not take formal action on Measure K at the Dec. 9 meeting; staff will return with a draft resolution in January.
