The presenter said there were no discipline referrals in January and that the district completed required state accreditation assurances due at the end of February. The district will use external proctored testing for NAEP on Feb. 24 at a local Lutheran Church and is offering Montana Digital Academy options for students needing credit recovery. The presenter described credit recovery as structured and proctored, saying the district wants students to complete courses rather than receive an "easy pass."
Board members did not debate the attendance report but asked clarifying questions about the testing site and the district calendar. The presenter said March 5 will be a no-school day already reflected in the calendar, and reminded trustees that athletics and tournament season is approaching.
