Negotiators at the July 25 session added and approved several concrete options for the evaluation policy. The minutes record that Options C ("Evaluate certified staff in all 4 domains"), D (select a domain and provide three artifacts/portfolios), E (establish an appeal process) and F (require counseling sessions to address concerns early) passed by vote.
Participants discussed the practicalities of parent input and portfolio submission. Brandi Milliron said the "portfolios/artifacts make more sense" and asked for clarification and training on how artifacts are uploaded and what content should be included. The minutes also record that the rebuttal/appeal timeline was set to five working days for initial response and that the full sequence could take up to 20 days.
