Red Oak ISD presents highlights of 2024–25 annual report; board presses for clear near-term targets

Korns said the district's accountability sections show the district above state and regional averages for attendance and graduation and reported early-literacy (third-grade 'meets and above') rising from 46 to 49. At the same time, she and instructional leaders acknowledged a recognized dip in math performance and described tiered instruction, boot camps and 'STAR blitz' interventions to address gaps. Board members repeatedly pressed staff for specific short-term targets and measurable next steps rather than long-range goals; staff described targeted fact-fluency work for middle grades and additional intervention strategies before STAAR testing.
