During the May 27 workshop, Ms. Moreno presented detailed budget reports that broke expenditures down by program and function. The reports included Career and Technical Education (CTE), Special Education, ESL, Dyslexia, and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR); staff noted the highlighted expenditures reflect state spending requirements and maintenance-of-effort compliance obligations.
Ms. Moreno told trustees the district will refine the budget when updated property valuations and revenue figures are available and will return with an updated budget prior to the board's formal adoption in August. The board received the program-level reports for review and asked staff to provide final figures once registration and state tax-rate data are complete.
