Markham council approves three business licenses, including a truck dealership

Mr. Milos spoke for EVA Sales LLC and described a small dealership that will sell and finance commercial equipment — “trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, medium duty trucks and all types of commercial equipment” — and said the business plans to hire employees and work with local service providers. The council opened the floor to the applicant and then approved the license on a 4–0 vote.
Mr. Vahora spoke for Expert Appliance Service Inc., describing a home‑based appliance repair enterprise that services microwaves and similar items; Ald. Bertrand Jr. said he had spoken with the applicant and recommended approval. Whitney's Electric Company was not present; Ald. Bertrand Jr. said he had spoken with that applicant as well and the council approved the license despite the representative’s absence. All three license approvals passed on unanimous 4–0 votes.
