"Looking at attendance, we had hoped for 3,000. We wound up having 4,600," Williams said, noting the larger-than-expected draw created some vendor and food-truck shortages but produced strong regional attendance from Houston, Austin and Dallas and positive social-media feedback. Williams summarized livestock counts for several events (650 cattle, 373 equine, and 338 swine/goats combined) and described ongoing maintenance and a planned rebuild of the work-order system for the expo property.
Williams said staff are redesigning the website's master plan section and experimenting with a monthly newsletter to improve outreach. Commissioners asked whether the county should consider making the event recurring; staff said they would consult community partners before making that decision.
