Commissioners accept donations supporting "Stars Over Washington County" 250th event

County staff asked the court to accept several community donations tied to the county's 250th Stars Over Washington County celebration.
"A big thank you to Woodman's for the 125 flags they donated. All those flags that y'all saw decorating our property were all donated by them," staff member Stokes said, adding that Allen Co. repainted flagpoles and Brenham Heritage Museum donated items for welcome baskets. A commissioner moved to accept the donations; the motion was seconded and the court approved the acceptance by voice vote.
Staff indicated the paperwork should have been processed earlier and that they were correcting the record retroactively. The acceptance was recorded under item 6 of the agenda.
